HMS can supply and customise maintenance record keeping, and performance tracking systems specifically designed for Fiscal (custody transfer) Metering. Every metering system operator should have one primary concern: To ensure that the overall metering system uncertainty remains within the design limits. Careful calibration of all the elements of the system, to approved procedures, will be made much easier by the use of "intelligent calibration forms". These also form a secure and auditable record of the work carried out. The overall package used should also ensure that maintenance is carried out at the correct time intervals by means of "task scheduling". If you are operating and maintaining any metering system, somebody some day will want to audit it. A clear "audit trail" is thus essential. An HMS "Metering Management & Record Package" will provide you with this. Most importantly, the calibration forms themselves should make the task as easy as possible for those carrying out the re-certifications. We at HMS can set up Excel based forms for this, as they are simple to use and accessible. We have over the years developed suites of forms for different metering applications. We also offer a far more sophisticated option called Patriarch from an associate company - Sundial Technology - in the UK. This employs an Oracle Database system and is "enterprise" scale software.

charts form another vital tool for ensuring that individual meters
are performing correctly. Again HMS will supply and customise Excel
based control and meter performance charts that are easy to use and
interpret, with clear control limits.
