The FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) is the last chance before shipment to correct
any errors, and more importantly omissions
from the system. This is particularly true of flow computer supervisory/database
systems. Here software changes are comparatively easy to do before the
system is shipped, but persuading a software engineer to come to site in
a remote desert location might be a little more difficult.....and
costly
Very often companies send someone with very little experience
of metering systems to the FAT. This is because in-house metering
specialists are a "rare breed" within major contracting
companies, and even major oil companies these days.
If your
company is - quite rightly - concentrating on it's core business,
HMS can supply the expertise and experience you require.
